Early History
Royal St. Andrew's Tudor-styled elegance recalls a time when the resort entertained the Prince of Wales in 1925. The Royal St. Andrews building was originally completed in 1924 in time for the visit of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, who stayed together with his entourage in the building. It was at that time a small hotel was birthed and it was owned by sergeant Major Dunn of the Highlander Regiment.
During the last war the Hotel housed the officers of the 43 Air School.
