Testimonials

The place feels like heaven on earth the social life, the food, the drinks and beautiful people I recommend this place to everyone around the world

Clean and tidy rooms. The highlander pub and restaurant serves incredible meals and its less than a 5 minute walk to the 1st tee of the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club

Nothing was ever too much effort, and every single request I made was met with a smile and handled so efficiently. Their warmth, professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond made all the difference. Highly recommend!!

My wife and myself celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a stay over at this venue. Thanks to a lady named "Riri" who was so helpful with our booking and the make up inside our room. We were blown away upon entering our room, also receiving a welcome gift and a welcoming card and a lovely handwritten message congratulating us. The Highlander pub and restaurant is a must. And after a lovely breakfast the next morning we were ready for the next leg of our road trip along the Sunshine coast. Thanks to all the staff we dealt with during our stay!!

We recently stayed at the Royal St Andrews Hotel while attending a conference, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience.

The rooms were impeccable—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and everything worked exactly as it should. The attention to detail and overall cleanliness were truly top-notch.

Breakfast each morning was outstanding, with a delicious variety of well-prepared food. The staff in the breakfast area were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service.

We also spent a lot of time at the Highlander Pub, using it as our base to work from outside the conference sessions. The ambiance was fantastic, the food was consistently excellent, and the service from the staff was warm, professional, and welcoming. It quickly became one of our favourite spots during our stay.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Royal St Andrews Hotel—not only as a great place to stay, but also as an exceptional conference venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again.

We had such a special stay at the Royal St Andrews Hotel while celebrating our son first birthday. We returned to recreate a trip that had been cut short the year before when he decided to make an early arrival!

The team went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, with beautiful room decorations, balloons, cake, a custom onesie and so many thoughtful touches. Even the lovely breakfast staff made such a fuss of our son and were wonderful with him throughout our stay.

The warmth and kindness from everyone made this a truly special full-circle trip for our family. Thank you to the entire team for helping us create memories we will treasure forever!

The staff, comfort, cleanliness, neatness, the food and everything about the Hotel was exceptional. I am definitely coming back with family, we have enjoyed ourselves and would like to repeat this perfect experience.

All staff were amazing, our dining experience at The Thistle on Friday night was excellent and the waitress exceptional.

We enjoyed our stay so much and would have loved to stay longer. Everything is clean, staff friendly and food perfect.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, the rooms are spacious, clean, the hotel itself is beautiful, located in a very quite place, I enjoyed my stay, even wished to extend my stay

Excellent service

Had the absolute best time and I’m still talking about it!
The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and SO clean. You can actually move around without bumping into things. There’s a big desk for work, aircon that functions well, and they keep the rooms serviced on time. Little things like a sufficient supply of toilet paper made it feel so well looked after.
Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were exceptional. Beautifully done, delicious, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly.
The conference venue was top notch. Clean bathrooms, great setup, everything ran smoothly.
The service is what stood out most. There was a concierge who helped us with luggage when we arrived, and another who literally walked us to the car when we were leaving. They see you moving in the corridors and immediately offer to help. That kind of care makes you feel so welcome.
From the environment to the staff, everyone was welcoming!

I loved every moment. The peace, tranquility, luxury everything. I enjoyed the weekend with my family that made it extra special. The staff are friendly, inviting and go the extra mile. The room has everything you need. I especially enjoyed the fact that there is a spa available (at an extra cost) on site. The ladies have healing hands. The breakfast is great and they serve champagne over the weekend breakfast. Kelly's beach is close, the Highlander pub is on the same premises and the food is great. A playroom for the kids kept mine busy so that I could relax. Don't listen to my story go and make your own, I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Very nice hotel and it’s close to most places in Port Alfred!

Big THANK YOU to Christy, Mikhail and their awesome staff. From the get go Christie was hands on to assist me to make this a memorable evening and weekend. Well done to each and everyone of you for the warm welcome we received on arrival. Thank you for making my husbands 60th birthday party SO special. It was done beautifully. I don't have enough words to thank you for the stunning rooms, the friendly staff, the great food and venue was done as expected beautifully - it honestly exceeded my expectations!!! Your are all SUPERSTARS. We will definitely be coming back to this awesome hotel and it's friendly people. We do appreciate everything you did for us.

Great hospitality from everyone, beautiful rooms and great service. The food is delicious and well presented.

Amazing stay. The staff were so warm and helpful. Rooms were quiet all day and night. Breakfast had gluten-free options available, and so did the Resturant for dinner- just have to check with the kitchen when ordering.

Every thing was excellent - great architecture - good service and very good food - highly recommended
